  1. I believe that when ambition turns to greed then the person experiencing it is consumed by how much they want rather than what they've already achieved. They always try to consume more power, wealth, or success. The consequences are usually very serious because the greedy person doesn't know when to stop. They just keep trying to gain more until it's impossible.

  2. When ambition turns to greed, many things change about you. You go from being excited to do something to doing it for your own selfish reasons. When you get to be greedy, you have a tendency to think about yourself and how you profit. But when you have ambition, you want to do something to get better. Greed causes anguish and suffering for what you believe is yours, and you will do whatever it takes to get what you want.

  4. I think that when ambition turns to greed, you can notice a big change in the person who is becoming greedy. They will do things that they havent before, maybe even seem a little rude. The consequences of greedy behavior is guilt, you may do something when you are greedy that you will eventually regret. There would also be a lot of people who are mad at you or dont like you cause of your greediness, you could almost say that you are being very selfish

  5. When ambition turns into greed, certain characters loose sight of what is really important to them. Macbeth forgets of his friends and of his wife, just thinking of the glorly and money that comes with being king. His greedy actions are sure to backfire because of how many bridges he has burned. loosing many of his friends, and the foreshadowing of his death. Greed his truly his downfall.

  6. When Ambition turns in to some kind of greed people start to act different. Not really in a good way they will use and try anything to make it so they can make there goal even if it hurts people. They push them self to the limit no matter what happens in between

  7. When ambition turns to greed people get stuck up and over confident in them self's and take everything they want. One consequence is losing the trust in people around you. Finally they wont be able to get any more.

  8. When ambition turns to greed there's one thing that significantly changes about a person. That thing is evil. When greed takes over you will do anything in your power to have what you want, no matter what the circumstances are. For example Macbeth becomes taken over with evil by murdering Duncan to become king and then once he becomes king and has what he wants and of course that's not enough to make him satisfied so he goes and has Banquo killed. When ambition turns to greed, evil takes over.

  9. when ambition turns to greed it turns to a very bad and sometimes harmful thing. When it changes it goes from a good intention to a very bad intention and you want to be in control of everything. the consequences of greedy behavior are that many wont want to be around and when you don't get what you want you could resort to very bad things even murders.

  10. When ambition turns into greed is when the person who achieves try and achieve more and more by measures that might not also be ethical. People will try and exploit things that will make them more money. People like Martha Stewart have insider trading which means they try and invest their money based on things that the general population can't find. People become very selfish and don't share and give back to the community. They also don't watch out for anyone else.

  11. When ambition turns to greed, your whole outlook on life changes drastically. Your thoughts change from your own personal success and how it could help others to thoughts about your gains and only your gains; not what anyone else thinks. You think of stuff in the way that it will only benefit you and don't care about the repercussions of your actions on the people around you. The consequences of being greedy is being labeled that way. You earn the title of being someone who only worries about themselves. They begin to only take care of themselves and lose the people closest to them.

  12. When ambition turns into greed a person changes a lot. Ambition is when a person is will to work hard to do well in life. They are willing to fight their way to the top. On the other hand greed is when someone whats everything but dont want to work hard for it. If a person gets to greedy nothing will come good of it. They will be mad at everyone since they dont get what they want.

  13. Ambition can turn to greed when you will do what ever it takes to accomplish what you want. This can have a large change in people from a good person with a goal to an evil person that has greed. No one may like you and since you only care for yourself no one has to care for you. Ambition is fine as long as it does not turn to greed. When you notice that you are doing whatever it takes to accomplish your goal, even if it means harming others, your ambition has turned to greed. Consequences of greed can range depending on how far the greed has taken you. If some one was killed due to someones greed death could be a penalty. If it is smaller acts the consequences may not be as bad.

  14. When ambition turns to greed a persons goals change. When a person is ambitious, he or she has the goal of making themselves better. When someone is greedy, they have the goal of making themselves the best or the wealthiest or the most powerful. Ambitious behavior can be good, but when ambition turns to greed, then mindset of wanting to be the best takes over. Because this will make a person act different, the consequences of acting like this could be great

  15. When ambition turns into greed several things can happen. For example, people can loose there mind. Having a balance of motivation and want can topside. Which is obviously not good. When someones ambition turns into greed, there whole life selfishly turns around. The thing about ambition is it can most likely affect others in a good way. Like a dream job or something in athletics. Greed does not and you should never let it take you over.

  16. There are many things that can happen when ambition turns into greed. Greed is not being content with suffice but grabbing as much as is possible. Ambition should be the desire, and drive, to utilize the best of one's ability in order to achieve self-sufficiency. Greed is not knowing when to stop. So basically my point is that when ambition turns into greed, you lose your focus and normal state of mind. With ambition, your mind set is good because like i said it is the drive and desire to do something which most likely leads to good things.

  17. In most cases, I think ambition and greed are the same thing. Ambition is a strong desire for something, and greed is a selfish desire for something. Although there are exceptions, many of our strong desires are selfish desires. Clearly that is a very general statement, but we really need to ask ourselves how often we do good things when absolutely nothing is in it for us. It is ability to have selfless desires that define who a person is and portray good morals.

  18. I think when ambition turns to greed the world has a funny way of letting you know that that's the wrong thing to do. I think ambition is a good thing ambition can motivate you to go and help the poor or even do a daily kind deed every day. Even when you have ambition for yourself its a good thing like if you have an ambition to be the fastest and the strongest its not greedy for you trying to make yourself better. The congruence are almost always the same karma finds a great way to get you back for it. So if I see someone do something bad and there is nothing I can do to stop it at least I know some how they will get what they diverse.

  19. Ambition starts out with a goal. It is then followed by the attempt to achieve that goal. Once it is reached, the bar may be raised so that the person is working to earn something more. If that next goal isn't reached that person has to work harder to reach it and there is a point where they stop at nothing, with no recourse for anyone, to reach it. Macbeth earned the title thane of Cawdor. His bar was then raised to where he wanted to be king. He had obstacles such as Duncan and others where he would commit murder to achieve being king. It was at that point that he became greedy.

  20. Ambition is an earnest desire for an achievement of some sort. Greed is an excessive desire for an achievement or object. I personally believe that everyone can have ambitions for success, but there is a thin line between that and greed. People that have ambitions to be financially successful generally develop a greed for money. Greed was the death of Smeagol in Lord of the Rings, when he plunged into the fires in Mount Doom. Your life can be overwhelmed with meaningless items that you generally do not need to be happy.

  21. I think that when ambition turns to greed, the person is willing do anything to succeed at there desire. I also think that the person does not really think with their conscience and think things through. The person is so caught up in the moment that they can't stop and think about what they are going to do. The consequences come in many different ways. What the person did could be haunted for the rest of their life and never forget what they had done. Also, the person can not believe or imagine that they just did that and they play a mind game with themselves. The person also starts to think that their actions were appropriate and they keep committing this act and never really think that what they are doing is wrong.

  22. When ambitions turn into greed many thing can happen. I believe for anything drastic to happen like in "Macbeth" that the person needs to be mentally sick beforehand. An ambition is more of a goal to strive for and something that you wish to achieve, but at times when that ambition is reached it might not be good enough, and for that reason people get greedy. When someone gets greedy they would possibly stop at nothing to fuel their need for more. One might even take a life if it would give them more power or control. Consequences of greedy behavior can be as simple as a fight with a friend or as extreme as a fatality. Greed tends to mess with the mind and convince ourselves that all of our wrong doings are okay because they are helping us achieve our goal.

  23. I think that ambition and greed are almost two separate things. Ambition is what makes you strive to be great, where as greed is an obsession with something. Like Austin said, most people have ambition to become financially successful, but many become greedy and obsess over their wealth. If ambition turns to greed, it will lead to that person's downfall. An example is Easter Island, an entire civilization that was dismantled by greed. The people of Easter Island became obsessed with (to them) riches and wealth, and subsequently used up all of the natural resources on the island. Naturally, a civilization cannot survive without natural resources and the people had to abandon the island. In the case of Macbeth, his greed for power cause him to forget the ability to think rationally, which lead to the death of his king, his best friend, and will eventually lead to his downfall.

  24. It is my belief that greed is the result of ambition however doing it for the wrong reason. Greed is when you have enough Determination however you have lost sight and the prize is not worth pursueing any more but you recklessly continue. The consequences of such reckless behavior are potentially achieving said goal however the prize is empty and is worthless.

  25. Ambition and greed can be the same thing but different also. Ambition is wanting a high achievement or distinction and the willingness to strive for its attainment. Greed is the extreme wanting of power and wealth. In "Macbeth" Macbeth uses ambition when he had a chance to kill the king and became king. As Greed, Macbeth turns king and hires people to kill Banquo and Fleance because Macbeth does not want for Fleance to be king and Banquo to be the father of kings.

  26. Ambition and greed are the same but there is a slight difference between the two is that greed is out of jealosy and wanting something for yourself and if you think of keeping it for yourself then it can be really tuff you fail and the one you didnt want to get the job is the who ends u being your boss and you wouldent want that ambitions are more like life goals that one wants to seceed in

  27. There is a point when something you want badly enough take over who you are. This will change the way you act and treat other people. It will turn into greed more likely then not when you forget who you are and focus on acomplishing the goal you set for yourself. Does this make you a bad person? This is debatable on who you effect and hurt along the way.

  28. When you have ambition you are really trying for a certain thing, but when you have greed you try to get as much as you can take with out thinking of anyone else or the consequences. That is what happens when ambition turns to greed you just try to get everything while thinking of yourself. The consequences of having greed is you forget about things that are really important to you and people don't care for you as much.

  29. Ambition and greed are very similar but one of the main differences is that ambition is something that you want but if you don't have it it will not bother you.l When you have greed it can take over you and then you are not thinking of others or rationally. You are only think of how you are going to get it and you may do some things that you would not normally do.
